Cube

Cube is a family of software products that form a complete travel forecasting system providing exceptional, easy to use, capabilities for the comprehensive planning of transportation systems. Cube offers multiple modules that provide different functions for different tasks. Users only need to acquire the modules that they need to complete their tasks, reducing their costs.

Cube is comprised of:

Cube Base — The core platform that includes the user interface through which you access any purchased modules. Cube Base also provides the conduit to ArcGIS. All users must acquire Cube Base. You can purchase optional extensions to increase the Cube Base feature set:

Cube Reports— An optional extension that adds advanced, high-quality reporting and charting.

Cube Cluster — An optional extension that adds functions that enable model processes to run across multiple computer processors, either within one or on multiple personal computers.

Cube Web (available 2008) — Allows users to access their model system through a standard Web browser.

Optional modules provide libraries of programs that allow you to complete specialized tasks. Available modules include:

Cube Voyager — Library of programs for forecasting urban, regional, and long distance passenger travel demand.

Cube Avenue — An optional extension that adds advanced dynamic traffic assignment or “mesoscopic assignment” to Cube Voyager.

Cube Dynasim— Library of programs for multimodal microsimulation. Cube Dynasim can import data from Cube Voyager and Cube Avenue.

Cube Cargo — Library of programs for forecasting regional and long distance commodity flow and truck demand.

Cube Analyst — Library of programs for estimating and optimizing trip tables from traffic counts and other survey data.

Cube Land — Library of programs for forecasting land use.

Accession

Accession is a travel access and travel time mapping package. It measures accessibility to and from any point based on travel costs through highway and public transit networks.

Built as a Geographical Information System (GIS), Accession quickly provides an accessibility-mapping overlay on any background map. It enables easy manipulation of the representation of the multi-modal transport system for creating scenarios. The influences these changes have on the transport system are clearly shown.

Accession is a powerful tool that can be used in a wide range of transport related studies.
